Lodestone Energy wins two top honours at INFINZ Awards

Lodestone Energy garnered significant recognition at New Zealand’s 2023 INFINZ Awards, as finalist in three highly competitive categories and winning top honours in two of those.

The INFINZ Awards recognise innovation and excellence in New Zealand’s financial sector ecosystem.

Lodestone Energy’s exceptional performance in the financial market led to well-deserved victories in the Mid-Market Equity Transaction of the Year and Mid-Market Debt Transaction of the Year categories, as well as being a finalist in Debt Deal of the year.

These accolades are a testament to Lodestone Energy’s success in raising capital to construct the $300m first phase of their capital programme. Jarden was Lodestone’s financial advisor, Westpac was the senior debt provider and IFM Investors was the company’s junior debt funder for the first phase.

Best Mid-Market Equity Transaction of the Year:
Lodestone Energy’s Series B Equity Raise stood out among its peers in the energy sector, earning them the coveted Mid-Market Equity Transaction of the Year award.

This achievement recognises Lodestone Energy’s ability to strategically raise equity capital to support growth plans and execute key initiatives successfully. The Series B Equity Raise not only attracted substantial investor interest, but also demonstrated the market’s confidence in Lodestone Energy’s long-term potential.

Best Mid-Market Debt Transaction of the Year:
In addition to their success in the equity market, Lodestone Energy’s remarkable performance in debt financing earned them the esteemed Mid-Market Debt Transaction of the Year accolade.

This award recognises the company’s ability to secure favourable debt financing terms, which play a crucial role in supporting their operational activities and capital investments.

Debt Deal of the Year:
In addition to taking out this debt transaction award, Lodestone Energy, along with Westpac, was a finalist in the Debt Deal of the Year award, underscoring Lodestone Energy’s remarkable achievements and their position as a frontrunner in Aotearoa’s renewable energy industry.

Lodestone Energy’s Managing Director, Gary Holden, thanked Lodestone Energy staff, the more than 25 parties involved in the transactions including Jarden, Westpac, IFM, Simpson Grierson, Tom Fail Limited, and all of the remaining contractors, advisors and consulting organisations that were part of this first phase.
